Document Manager

This course will give you an in-depth understanding of the fundamental concepts of ViewPoint Document Management. As you work through the course sections and lessons, you will get intimately familiar with the Document Management component and how it differentiates from other systems.

The course is divided into 13 sections that take you through the various parts of the component. At the end of each section is a short quiz for you to enjoy and test your knowledge of the section. 

Introduction

Provides an overview of the course and introduces you to the Document Management component.

Key Concepts

This section will cover all the key terms and concepts you'll use as you work your way through the course.You'll learn about the ViewPoint Filing Cabinet, Indexes and delve into Document Holders and and the Documents themselves.

Retrieving Documents

In this section you will learn how to search and retrieve documents from the Document Manager. There are many ways to find a stored document and you'll cover both the standard and advanced methods.

Storing Documents and Emails
Documents come in many different formats and are produced from different systems, such as Word, Excel, email and Adobe PDF. In this section we'll look at how you go about storing documents and how you can link a document to a record in ViewPoint Entity Administration.
Working with Documents and Emails

This section covers how you can produce correspondence with information extacted from ViewPoint Entity Administration such as names, email addresses etc. You'll also look at document version management and how you can scan documents from your scanner straight into ViewPoint. You will also learn about the Document Management Audit Trail.

Tasks
The final section is an introduction into task management and how you go about attaching tasks to document.
At the end of the course, you will have an opportunity to complete the final exam and earn your ViewPoint Certified User - Document Management certificate and awarded your CPD points.
