Entity Administration

This course will give you an in-depth understanding of the fundamental concepts of ViewPoint Entity Administration. As you work through the course sections and lessons, you will get intimately familiar with the Entity Administrator component and learn the features and functions that generally can help you approach your tasks with greater efficiency.

The course is divided into 13 sections that take you through the various parts of the component. At the end of each section is a short quiz for you to enjoy and test your knowledge of the section. 

Getting Started

Provides an overview of the course and introduces you to the Entity Administrator component.

Master Files

Provides you with an introduction to the concept of Master Files, how you search for them and how you go about creating a Master File.

Address Cards

Covers the concept of the address book and contact information. Here you will also learn how to search for, link and edit address cards.

Master File Maintenance

In this section you get a little more involved with Master Files. You'll learn about maintaining master files, where certain types of data should be stored as it relates to compliance, KYC and AEOI; and managing alerts and statuses.

Jobs, Documents & Folders 

This section covers a few areas that deal with document generation, tracking of To Do items, the audit trail, recurring obligations and the recording of file notes.

Entity Administration - Companies, Trust, Partnerships

There are 3 sections that cover entity administration as it relates to companies, trusts and partnerships.

On the corporate side, we take a look at statutory and non-statutory relationships, both direct (shareholders) and indirect (beneficial owners) ownership, business registrations, banks accounts and charges.

For trust, you will learn about trust offices, beneficiaries and distribution recording and tracking.

On the partnership side, we'll take a close look at how you can manage the partnership register within ViewPoint.

Assets & Liabilities

This section covers fixed assets, banks account administration, loans both received and given and takes a brief step into the securities area.

Activities

In the Activities section we review how to track meetings, record various filings and how the reviews area works. You will also learn how to record and track actions arising from all three areas.

Relations & Ownership

The ViewPoint Relations and Ownership Explorer gives you an agile way of reviewing relationships and ownership structures of your client files. You learn how to use the Explorer and how to quickly generate complex structure charts at the click of a button.

Reporting
The last section covers the generation of documents and reports into the various Office applications like Word and Excel. You'll also learn how to produce your own custom reports and how to generate standard reports included with ViewPoint.
At the end of the course, you will have an opportunity to complete the final exam and earn your ViewPoint Certified User - Entity Administration certificate and awarded your CPD points.
